Richard Mille’s passion for cars is a secret to no one. No surprise that the brand has been a partner of the exhibition since 2016. This collaboration led notably in 2019 to the creation of a stand of 380 square meters showcasing 8 superb Formula 1 vehicles manufactured by the British manufacturer McLaren, the product of 50 years of motor racing of the very highest order.
Rétromobile is fast establishing itself as a must for anyone who is passionate about cars and their history. The 2019 edition welcomed car owners, enthusiasts and collectors to Paris, Porte de Versailles, where they mingled among more than 1000 vehicles, 620 stands, together with booksellers, spare parts dealers, auction houses and even artists inspired by the world of motoring down the years.
Upwards of 130 000 visitors, including enthusiasts from 120 clubs around the world, had a rare chance to admire old favorites from Bentley, Bugatti, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Ferrari, Citroën, Peugeot, Renault, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Skoda, Jaguar, Land Rover, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Maserati and Lamborghini. Organizers are expecting to cater for an even bigger audience when the event returns between the 5th – 9th February 2020.

Fans were able to get up close to many remarkable McLaren models on the Richard Mille showroom. The majority had been brought over specifically from Woking, others loaned by their owners. Among the favorites, the M2B 1966, Bruce McLaren’s first racing car and the M7A, runner-up in the F1 world championship in 1968, and of course the MP4/4, world championship car with Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna that broke all records by winning 15 out of 16 Grand Prix in 1988.
