Rétromobile

The best show devoted to classic cars

Richard Mille’s passion for cars is a secret to no one. No surprise that the brand has been a partner of the exhibition since 2016. This collaboration led notably in 2019 to the creation of a stand of 380 square meters showcasing 8 superb Formula 1 vehicles manufactured by the British manufacturer McLaren, the product of 50 years of motor racing of the very highest order.

'Rétromobile in Paris was the opportunity for Richard and the Richard Mille brand to share their passion for automotive beauty and excellence with the wider world. It’s fantastic that he chooses to do that, simply to express his love for engineering excellence and beautiful aesthetic design. We helped to pull together a collection of McLaren race and road cars that have never been seen together before – which was a fun and unique opportunity.'

Zak Brown, Chief Executive of McLaren Racing

Fans were able to get up close to many remarkable McLaren models on the Richard Mille showroom. The majority had been brought over specifically from Woking, others loaned by their owners. Among the favorites, the M2B 1966, Bruce McLaren’s first racing car and the M7A, runner-up in the F1 world championship in 1968, and of course the MP4/4, world championship car with Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna that broke all records by winning 15 out of 16 Grand Prix in 1988.
